Products for PORTABLE ELECTRIC HEATING: the supplier warrants the heating element for a period of 5 years and the electrical components for 3 years, for all products in the range, starting from the invoice date, unless otherwise specified in the section corresponding to each product.
Products for VENTILATION: the supplier warrants the heating element for a period of 5 years and the electrical components for 2 years, for all products in the range, starting from the invoice date, unless otherwise specified in the section corresponding to each product.
The supplier also warrants:
- the correct construction of the supplied material in accordance with the invoice;
- the free repair or replacement of parts which, during the warranty period, show material defects, manufacturing defects or non-conformity with the specifications such as to render the component unfit for use.
The warranty shall apply following an examination of the defects and their causes, carried out at the supplier’s premises indicated by the supplier.
New or repaired material shall be delivered ex works from the supplier’s warehouse.
Any work carried out under warranty shall neither postpone nor renew the expiry date of the original warranty period.
The Climera S.r.l. warranty does not replace the warranty provided by law, nor does it warrant or declare that the product is suitable for the Customer’s specific requirements or that it can operate in combination with third-party products.
2.2 WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
The warranty is excluded:
- if the product is installed by unqualified personnel and/or in a manner that does not comply with industry standards;
- if the product is installed incorrectly or not in accordance with the supplier’s instructions;
- if the damage is caused by negligence, tampering, modifications to the product, accidental causes or neglect by the purchaser, with particular reference to external parts, as well as in the event of failures caused by connecting the appliance to pressures other than those indicated or by sudden pressure variations in the network to which the appliance is connected;
- if Climera S.r.l. products are connected to a system with an operating pressure higher than that declared by the manufacturer;
- if the system water has not been treated with suitable chemical additives;
- if, during the tightening of radiator plugs and reducers, the tightening torque differs from that indicated in the technical catalogues;
- if, during the assembly process of radiators using nipples, accessories other than original Climera S.r.l. accessories are used. The tightening torque must be the one indicated in the technical catalogues;
- if Climera S.r.l. products are connected to a domestic water system or to a system with an open expansion vessel;
- if, in the case of a new system, the system has not been flushed to remove any contaminants, processing residues, oils, traces of products used for welding pipes, etc.;
- if, in the case of older systems, thorough flushing has not been carried out to remove scale and sludge deposits;
- if the operation and/or maintenance of the system has not been carried out in accordance with the operating and maintenance instructions contained in the manual supplied with the product and/or in the technical documentation. In particular:
- the maximum operating pressure and temperature indicated in the technical specifications must not be exceeded;
- water with a pH below 6.5 or above 8.5 must not be used. Appropriate chemical water treatment must always be carried out, especially in the presence of hard water. UNI 8065, made mandatory by Italian Law 46/90, requires appropriate chemical water treatment in heating systems. Italian Ministerial Decree 37/08, concerning provisions on the safety of systems, requires systems to be installed in accordance with the rules of good practice and applicable regulations, using materials and components that comply with industry standards, therefore also referring to UNI 8065 on water treatment in heating systems for civil use;
- if the damage has been caused by the electrical network, faults or anomalies;
- if antifreeze is used, where it is used undiluted instead of in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions before being introduced into the circuit;
- if a corrosion inhibitor is used, where it is not compatible with all the materials present in the heating elements;
- if the damage is due to anomalies in the water network, such as high pressure, water hammer or similar phenomena;
- if the damage is attributable to stray currents or if the brackets have not been adequately insulated;
- if the surfaces of the radiators are cleaned with chemical products that may damage the paintwork. Climera S.r.l. products must be cleaned exclusively with suitable soft cloths to avoid scratching the paint and dried exclusively with cloths washed with water;
- if the damage is caused by weights and/or objects placed on the radiator or by improper use by persons, for example as a bench, shelf or step. Damage resulting from any improper or non-functional use is also excluded;
- if the damage is due to the formation of rust caused by installation in aggressive environments, such as saunas, swimming pools, urinals, etc.;
- if the damage is due to incorrect sizing;
- if the damage is due to the formation of ice, for example in the case of a water-filled radiator exposed to temperatures below 0 °C;
- if the damage is due to the use of components or parts that are not original or not authorised by Climera S.r.l.;
- if the product suffers accidental damage caused by events, fires or accidents in general, or damage occurring during transport not organised by Climera S.r.l., or if the presence of air and/or lack of liquid in the circuit is detected;
- if the product has been tampered with through modifications or repair work without the supplier’s written authorisation;
- if the purchaser fails to comply with the agreed payment terms;
- if the warranty is not claimed within the terms and according to the procedures provided for by law.
3. OTHER INFORMATION
The warranty is also excluded:
- in the event of the use of hemp or other insulating materials;
- if the product is installed less than one metre from sources of water, such as the edge of a washbasin, shower enclosure, bathtub, toilet, bidet, etc.;
- if the material has not been stored under suitable conditions and protected from atmospheric agents before installation;
- if tools and/or chemical products that may damage the finish are used to clean the products;
- if, after the first filling, the heating elements remain without water and are not periodically emptied.
